Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you have the right to cancel your order for any reason within 14 days of the day you (or someone you nominate) receive the goods. To cancel, email info@maisonkireru.co.uk with your order number; you may use the model cancellation form below but it is not compulsory. You then have a further 14 days to send the goods back.
Goods must be returned complete, unused and in their original packaging, with all accessories. You may inspect the knives as you would in a shop, but they must not have been used to cut food, sharpened or damaged. If the value of the goods has been reduced by handling beyond what is necessary to establish their nature and characteristics, we may deduct an amount reflecting that reduction from your refund.
We cover the cost of returning goods from the United Kingdom. Once your return is approved we send you a prepaid return label by email. Please pack the knives securely (blades protected) and use the label provided; returns sent without our label are not covered.
We refund the full price paid, including the outbound delivery charge if any, within 14 days of receiving the goods back (or of receiving proof that you have sent them, if earlier). Refunds are made to the original payment method. Import VAT or duties paid to a carrier are not refunded by us; you may be able to reclaim them from HMRC.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 our products must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If a product is faulty, damaged on arrival or not what you ordered, contact us within 30 days for a full refund, or at any time within the guarantee period for a repair or replacement. Return costs for faulty goods are always covered by us.
All Maison Kireru knives are covered by a 2-year guarantee against manufacturing defects (blade, handle assembly, rivets). The guarantee does not cover normal wear of the edge, damage caused by misuse, dropping, dishwasher cleaning, corrosion due to poor care, or use on inappropriate surfaces (glass, stone, ceramic, bone). Sharpening consumables (whetstones, sharpener rods) are covered against defects for 12 months. This guarantee is in addition to your statutory rights.
We do not offer direct exchanges. Return the item for a refund and place a new order for the product you want.
