How much is delivery?
Delivery is free on every order to the United Kingdom.

How long does delivery take?
Orders are dispatched within 24 hours and delivered within 7 to 10 days with a tracked service. You receive a tracking link by email as soon as your parcel ships.

Do you deliver outside the UK?
This store delivers to the United Kingdom only.

Will I have to pay import charges?
Our knives are shipped from our partner workshop. If any import VAT or duty applies to your parcel, it is payable to the courier on delivery. Contact us before ordering if you would like more detail.

Returns & guarantee

Can I return a knife?
Yes. You have 14 days from delivery to return any item in its original condition, and we cover the return shipping cost. Write to info@maisonkireru.co.uk to start a return.

What does the guarantee cover?
Every knife is covered by a 2-year guarantee against manufacturing defects. Normal wear, misuse and dishwasher damage are not covered.

Our knives

What steel do you use?
Katachi knives are made from 7Cr17 stainless steel. Chef Okaza, Nishikigoi and Kuro Damas knives use 67-layer Damascus steel with a Japanese VG10 core, hardened to 60 ± 2 HRC.

Are the knives dishwasher safe?
No. Hand wash in warm water, dry immediately and store dry. Never leave a knife soaking.

How do I keep them sharp?
Use a whetstone (3000 grit to sharpen, 8000 to polish) every few months, and a honing rod or our 4-in-1 sharpener between times. Always cut on wood or plastic, never on glass, stone or ceramic.

Are the knives suitable for left-handed users?
Yes. All our blades are double-bevel and the handles are symmetrical.

Ordering

Is there an age restriction?
Yes. By law we only sell knives to customers aged 18 or over. An adult signature is required on delivery.

Which payment methods do you accept?
Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay, PayPal and Klarna. All payments are processed securely; we never see your card details.

Can I change or cancel my order?
Contact us as soon as possible at info@maisonkireru.co.uk. Orders can be changed or cancelled until they are dispatched.
